Bayline

Terms of Service

Last updated September 13, 2026

These terms cover your use of Bayline, the scheduling and customer management software at baylineapp.com. Bayline is operated by Nicolas LeMoine, an individual based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Throughout, “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the business using the software.

1. What Bayline does

Bayline lets a detailing business take online bookings, collect deposits, schedule technicians, track jobs and photographs, invoice customers, and email past customers. You use it to run your business. We provide the software; we do not perform detailing, handle your customers’ vehicles, or take part in the work you sell.

2. Accepting these terms

Creating an account or using Bayline means you accept these terms. If you are agreeing for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. You must be 18 or older.

3. It is free, for now

Bayline currently costs nothing. If we introduce a fee, we will tell you in advance and you may stop using the service rather than pay. Nothing here obliges you to pay for anything, and we will not start charging for a period you have already used.

Separately, your customers pay you through your own Stripe account. We take no commission and never hold your money.

4. Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account and under accounts you invite, including your staff’s.

Your shop code identifies your business. It is not a password — anyone with your booking link can see your public booking page, which is the point of it.

5. Your data belongs to you

Your customer records, bookings, photographs and settings are yours. We do not sell them, and we do not use your customers’ details to market anything to them.

Ask and we will give you a copy of your data, or delete it. We will do so within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for what we hold and who helps us hold it.

6. Your customers’ data is your responsibility

When your customer books with you, they are your customer, not ours. You decide what to collect and why; we store and process it on your instructions. That makes you responsible for handling it lawfully — including having a proper reason to hold it, honouring requests to see or delete it, and telling people what you do with it.

Email your past customers lawfully.

Bayline can email customers who have not booked in a while. Marketing email in the United States is governed by the CAN-SPAM Act, which requires a working way to opt out, an accurate sender, and your physical postal address in the message. Penalties are assessed per email. You are responsible for what you send. Do not use the win-back feature to contact people who have asked you to stop, and do not use Bayline to send anything you would not be comfortable defending.

7. Using it properly

You agree not to:

  • upload anything unlawful, or photographs you have no right to
  • try to reach another shop’s data, or test our security without asking first
  • resell Bayline or present it as your own product
  • use it to send unsolicited bulk email
  • interfere with the service or the people using it

If you find a security problem, tell us before telling anyone else. We will not pursue you for reporting it in good faith.

8. What we do not promise

Bayline is a young product run by one person. It may be unavailable, lose a feature, or change. We do not promise a level of uptime, and you should not treat it as the only record of anything that matters to your business. Keep your own records of bookings and payments.

The weather information in Bayline comes from a third-party forecast and is an aid, not a guarantee. Deciding whether conditions suit a coating or a wash is your professional judgement, not ours.

9. No warranty

Bayline is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Limits on what we owe you

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Bayline.

Because Bayline is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to one hundred United States dollars ($100.00). If you later pay for Bayline, that limit becomes the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some states do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as that state permits.

11. If something goes wrong because of you

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Bayline — for instance, email you sent, or customer data you handled improperly — you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.

12. Ending it

You can stop using Bayline whenever you like, and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering Bayline altogether. If we stop offering it, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to take your data with you, unless the law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Bayline after that means you accept the new version. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed.

14. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts in Knox County, Tennessee, and we both agree to that.
